What’s up #ELITEMAFIA, we kick off Bowl Season today with a 2-game College Football slate starting at 2 pm EST. Russell and Ryan will be in chat this morning, and I will be providing some thoughts on this slate. Let’s jump into it!
Buffalo v Charlotte (2:00 PM KICKOFF)
Spread: Buffalo – 6.5 | Total: 51.5
The weather in this game appears to have made the total drop almost 6 points. They are expecting 30-40 MPH winds. This probably helps Jaret Patterson and Kevin Marks the most. They have led this Buffalo offense all year and today against Charlotte should continue that trend. Charlotte’s defense allowed 195 yards plus on the ground this year. Using both RBs will be common today. Antonio Nunn is their top target by nearly 40 targets. Slate is too small to ignore him.
Chris Reynolds is a dual-threat QB, who averaged over 200 yards passing and over 60 yards rushing this season. Buffalo has a strong defense, so there is risk if you use him. RB Benny LeMay topped 1000 yards and is a pass catching back that looks like a very low owned play. He comes with some risk against the strong Buffalo defense.
DFS Targets: RB Jaret Patterson (BUFF), RB Kevin Marks (BUFF), Antonio Nunn (BUFF), Chris Reynolds (CHA)
Utah State v Kent State (7:30 PM KICKOFF)
Spread: Utah State – 6.5 | Total: 67.5
Despite the arrest, all three Utah State players have been cleared to play. Jordan Love is a great since the Kent defense allows over 474 yards a game. At the RB spot, Gerold Bright is playing and looks to be one of the top backs on the slate. His teammate Jaylen Warren splits with Bright and is a great pivot off ownership of Bright with the same matchup. Utah State’s top WR is Siaosi Mariner with 56 catches, however he’s expensive.
Dustin Crum was the team’s leading rushing this season. The Aggies defense allowed a combined 446 total yards a game this season. Crum is cheap and with this game starting later, he is an ideal Super Flex. His favorite targets are Isaiah McKoy and Mike Carrigan. Not interested in any RBs for Kent.
DFS Targets: QB Jordan Love (Utah St), RB Gerold Bright (Utah St.), WR Siaosi Mariner (Utah St.), QB Dustin Crum (KSU) WR Isaiah McKoy (KSU), WR Mike Carrigan (KSU)
