Cash Game Core Four

FanDuel: Auston Matthews (TOR), Alex DeBrincat (CHI), Patric Hornqvist (FLA), Seth Jones (CBJ)
Top Stacks Of The Night
TOR 1: Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, Zach Hyman
Possible Add-On: Morgan Rielly
Matthews is always someone to consider when he’s slated to play and tonight is no different. He and his linemates’ numbers are much better when playing on home ice. They are boasting a 58.62 CF%, 3.16 xGF, and 9 out of their 11 5v5 goals have come at Scotiabank Arena. This trio has combined for 6 points in two games against Montreal on the year and I’m expecting to add to that total this evening.
CHI 1: Patrick Kane, Pius Suter, Alex DeBrincat
Possible Add-On: Duncan Keith
Columbus has been known for their defensive play in previous years but they are currently struggling to find their groove on that end of the ice. The club has allowed an average of 4.40 goals per game and is boasting a 54.5 PK% in their last five contests. This has me wanting to get exposure to Chicago’s two most dangerous wingers in Kane and DeBrincat. These two gentlemen have been playing with Suter as of late and the trio has combined for 5 even strength goals and 57.66 CF% in 74 minutes of action. They also all get time on the man advantage which is important going up against Columbus this evening.
FLA 2: Jonathan Huberdeau, Patric Hornqvist, Alex Wennberg
Possible Add-On: Aaron Ekblad
This line is currently rolling and I like the idea of continuing to ride the hot line. Wennberg has logged a goal in three straight contests while Huberdeau has 3 helpers and Hornqvist has 3 points. This line is pretty affordable and is going up against a club that may be out without Stamkos against tonight. Tampa Bay struggled with puck possession in their last contest against Florida which gives Wennberg and company an advantage as they possess a 58.27 CF% on the young season. When these two teams meet these contests tend to be high scoring which makes me a little more comfortable going up against Andrei Vasilevskiy.
CGY 2: Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau, Sam Bennett
Possible Add-On: Mark Giordano
The Canucks have just really been struggling this season and there is no reason not to continue to attack them this evening. Although they’ve been good at killing penalties, they still have allowed an average of 3.88 goals per game in 17 contests this season. While all of Calgary’s three lines produce at a high level, I’m going with the Monahan line. Gaudreau and Monahan have combined for 9 points in three games against the Canucks this year and are at a great price point considering their matchup.
DAL 2: Jason Robertson, Denis Gurianov, Roope Hintz
Possible Add-On: John Klingberg
This young line provides you with a way to save money to pay up for one of the more expensive lines on the slate. They are going up against the Hurricanes which just haven’t been playing the best of hockey as of late. A reason why is because Mrazek has been dealing with a thumb injury and neither of Carolina’s netminders have stepped up in his absence. It’s also because Carolina has had some sloppy play on both ends of the ice. They have posted a 66.7 PK% and have allowed an average of 4 goals per game in February. Robertson, Gurianov, and Hintz have already showcased their ability to rack up points in their young careers and have looked good playing together. They’ve logged three even strength goals in just 28 minutes of actions and should be put in situations to light the lamp this evening.
