The Point-Johnson-Kucherov line has played 123 minutes together. While they have given up eight goals on the year already, they have also recorded 13. They play fast and generate a ton of opportunities, which is what we want. Tonight, they are going up against the Rangers. The Rangers have allowed an average of four goals per game in their last three. Also, they have allowed an average of 4.14 goals per game on the road this year.
Stack: Tyler Johnson, Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov and Ryan McDonagh
The Devils are a disaster and are forced to play in San Jose tonight. This is their third game on the west coast, and I’m looking to pick on them tonight. The Pavelski-Kane-Donskoi line is where I’m looking. Although this line only has five goals in 134 minutes, I believe they have performed much better. They have caught some tough breaks, and I believe tonight they show us their abilities when playing together.
Stack: Brent Burns, Evander Kane, Joonas Donskoi and Joe Pavelski
Jake Guentzel, Sidney Crosby and Phil Kessel all in one line is scary. All three guys can do serious damage on the offensive side of the puck. Also, they are all going to play with the top power play unit tonight. This is a huge bonus, as the Islanders allowed 11 power play goals in the month of November.
Stack: Jake Guentzel, Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang and Phil Kessel
The Kings’ top line is the last stack I’m considering. While I do not like them nearly as much as the first three stacks I mentioned, they are a lot cheaper. Also, they log heavy minutes and all see time on the top power play. Additionally, they are going up against Howard, who gave up five goals on Dec. 4 and has not played since.
Stack: Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown, Alex Iafallo and Drew Doughty
