Top Stacks Of The Night
BOS 1: Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak
Possible Add-On: Charlie McAvoy
Boston’s top line is by far the most expensive on the slate, but there is no denying their upside this evening. They are going up against the Flyers, who own a 44.31 CF% on the year. The Flyers are still without Couturier which is a big reason why the club has struggled defensively and allowed an average of 3.18 goals per game. Bergeron and company own an insane 71.62 CF% in just 34 minutes of action to go along with 4 even-strength goals. The Flyers are at home this evening so they can decide what to throw at Boston’s top line, but I honestly don’t think it will be enough to keep them off the score sheet.
FLA 1: Aleksander Barkov, Carter Verhaeghe, Anthony Duclair
Possible Add-On: Aaron Ekblad
This line just continues to amaze me and I want a piece of them in their rematch against Nashville. After a disappointing loss in OT, I’m expecting Florida to come out of the gates strong and it all starts with this line. In 85 minutes, Duclair and company own a solid 57.67 CF%, 4.64 xGF, and 4 even-strength goals. Nashville is entering this contest allowing an average of 4.80 goals per game and 7 high danger scoring chances per game. I know Huberdeau and Hornqvist did a ton of damage last night, but I’m looking for Verhaeghe and Duclair to have solid games in this one.
VGK 1: Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty, Chandler Stephenson
Possible Add-On: Shea Theodore
Everyone loves a late-night stack and Vegas’ top line catches my attention. Stephenson and company have recorded 8 even-strength goals when playing together and see 61% of their faceoffs in the offensive zone. They are given a ton of opportunities to light the lamp and tonight should be no different going up against the Kings. In 9 games, Los Angeles owns a 46.72 CF% and has allowed 84 high danger scoring chances. Vegas missed some time due to COVID, but I’m expecting the top line to pick right up where they left off.
TB 3: Yanni Gourde, Blake Coleman, Barclay Goodrow
Possible Add-On: Victor Hedman
Tampa Bay’s top two lines will see a good chunk of ownership going up against the Red Wings and I honestly can’t blame people. It’s a mouthwatering matchup going up against a club that’s allowed an average of 4.80 goals per game this season. However, if you’re planning to stack one of those expensive top lines, you’re going to need to find value somewhere. All three gentlemen on the 3rd line are under $4,000 and play stellar together. In 65 minutes, they’ve logged an impressive 3.7 xGF, 61.32 CF%, and 21 high danger scoring chances.
