The Stanley Cup Finals continue tonight in Edmonton. Here’s your complete DFS Showdown breakdown for Game Six!
First of all, I want to revisit Strategy Session #21 – DraftKings Showdown Rules.
I’ve gone back and updated all of my rules. Only one was nixed, so six remain:
Rule #1 – No defensemen at CAPT (87.7% of optimals)
Rule #2 – Use a max of 1 goalie (86.2% of optimals)
Rule #3 – Set a minimum salary of $43,000 (86.2% of optimals)
Rule #4 – Remove third and fourth line forwards from CAPT pool (84.4% of optimals)
Rule #5 – Do not use any full-line stacks (95.4% of optimals)
Rule #6 – Use a max of 2 players from opposing team when using a goalie CAPT, and max 3 players from opposing team when using a UTIL goalie. (~92.8% of optimals)
Now on to today’s game!
Tampa Bay Lightning @ Dallas Stars, Game Six
- 8:00 pm EST
- Implied Odds: Tampa Bay 55% | Total: 5.0
Dallas kept the series moving, but if you watched game five, it was clear that Tampa is the better team in this series. Nothing changes for me.
Point and Kucherov continue to be the top options in this series. Both Tampa goals on Saturday were scored with these two on the ice.
Since the Stars shook up their lines, Tyler Seguin has assisted on the last 5 Dallas goals of this series. Continue rolling him if he stays with Perry and Kiviranta.
Otherwise, it’s really just one-off dart throws for me.
Hedman continues to prove himself worthy of CAPT consideration. He hit both the shot and block bonus on DK in game five.
Jamie Oleksiak hit another blocked shot bonus and recorded an assist on Saturday night. He is one of my favorite values on the slate.
Heiskanen, Lindell, and Klingberg are all very dart throws for Dallas. All three have big offensive upside. Jan Rutta keeps getting the big minutes with Victor Hedman if you’re looking for a really cheap punt.
Khudobin rebounded nicely with 39 saves on Saturday night. Even with more than 4 periods of hockey, the Stars still only managed 33 shots on goal. I’ll continue to ignore Vasilevskiy for DFS purposes.
CAPT pool: DAL – Seguin, Khudobin; TB – Point, Kucherov, Hedman
Favorite mini-stacks: DAL – Seguin/Perry, Seguin/Kiviranta; TB – Point/Kucherov, Point/Palat, Kucherov/Palat
