We are in the dog days of the NBA season when players are dinged up and, especially on larger slates, there can be a lot to try to keep track of with the various injury tags. This article is designed to have the injury news handy on one page and to give an idea of which player(s) may benefit if another player is ruled out. I'll try to keep this page updated throughout the day as new information arrives, but it's of course always advisable that you monitor the news as well.

Remember: there are still many DFS players on DK and Yahoo who, once lock hits, ignore their lineups. There's an edge available to players who keep track of the news throughout the night and make thoughtful switches when necessary, especially as the player you switch to may be very low owned because so many people have stopped paying attention to their lineups.
– Cody Zeller is OUT
NOTES: The bench unit outplayed the starters last game which kept some of the minutes down for a few of these guys, especially Bismack Biyombo. Really tough to trust the minutes right now for Biyombo. MKG, somehow, almost impossibly, fouled out in just 10 minutes, but he should be back up into that 20 minute range tonight.
– Kyrie Irving is OUT
NOTES: Terry Rozier will start in place of Kyrie and continues to be a solid play even with the price hike. Marcus Smart had a ceiling game last time out with no Kyrie. I'm probably not chasing the points there but I wouldn't blame anyone for going in that direction. Jaylen Brown has gone for 36.5, 33, and 33 DK points the last three games when Kyrie has missed and makes for a very solid play again at just $4700 on both sites. That's three straight games of 44+ fantasy points for Al Horford. The price has risen, but tough to argue with that production. Plenty to like from the Celtics today.
– Wendell Carter Jr. is OUT
– Chandler Hutchison is OUT
– Zach LaVine is Q
NOTES: Hutchison has been out for two games now and Wayne Selden has started in his place and played 38 and 28 minutes. Jabari Parker played just 11 minutes two games ago but then got hot last game in 23 minutes last game and put up a monster line. The Bulls clearly don't like Parker but he basically forced his way onto the court last game with his performance. Super volatile situation here. Can use either of these guys in GPPs, but would be very risky for cash. Robin Lopez has started the last two games with Bobby Portis coming off the bench and I'd expect Lopez to start again here against Hassan Whiteside. Given the pricing, Lopez is probably the more attractive option, but neither stand out as especially good plays on today's slate. If LaVine can't go, Selden could see big minutes, Parker could get more time, but really, that would be a nice bump to Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn, who would be relied on for more offense.
– Derrick Jones Jr. is OUT
– Dwyane Wade is Q Wade is OUT
– Tyler Johnson is Q Johnson is IN
NOTES: Just a wait-and-see situation here. Will update as news becomes available. Suffice it to say that if Wade and Johnson both miss, and with Jones Jr. out, the Heat would be thin, and Wayne Ellington and Dion Waiters would both benefit, while Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson would likely play 35+ minutes. Kelly Olynyk should see minutes off the bench after falling from the rotation while James Johnson would likely have more secure minutes. Stay tuned.
–JJ Barea is OUT
NOTES: That's now 37, 36, and 31 minutes for Dennis Smith Jr. the past three games. 30+ minutes again seems likely in a very good matchup against the Knicks.
– Emmanuel Mudiay is OUT
– Frank Ntilikina is OUT
– Luke Kornet is OUT
NOTES: Trey Burke started last game and was pretty much a bust as mega chalk with 18 DK fantasy points in 25 minutes. Assuming he draws the start again, great time to hop back on this train with far less ownership. Tim Hardaway Jr. is a very interesting play as well though he'll likely take on more ownership in this one than he did last game, especially on DK. Allonzo Trier's price has fallen to $4300 on FD.
–Victor Oladipo is OUT
–Tyreke Evans is OUT
NOTES: In a surprise move, the Pacers started Edward Sumner at SG last game with Evans and Dipo out. The Pacers were blown out last game so the rotations were a little funky, but it will clearly be the four other starters and Cory Joseph finishing games for the Pacers, and even though he's coming off the bench, Joseph will likely play close to starter's minutes.
– John Wall is OUT
– Markieff Morris is OUT
– Dwight Howard is OUT
NOTES: The Wizards starters were awful last night against the Cavs and it was a no-name crew of backups who nearly brought them back for a miracle victory. These core guys for the Wiz – Sato, Beal, Ariza, Green, and Porter Jr. – still have tremendous minutes upside despite one bad game.
– Omri Casspi is OUT
– Garrett Temple is OUT
– Jaren Jackson is PROBABLE
– JaMychal Green is PROBABLE
NOTES: Despite the return of Anderson to the rotation, Justin Holiday still played 40 minutes last game. He's now played 40 and 39 the past two games and has been stealing minutes from Shelvin Mack. Given the minutes, you can always use Holiday in a GPP, but I'd prefer Anderson here on DK at a similar price. Mike Conley is playing some great basketball right now, and even though this Memphis organization is in flux, his minutes appear to be secure.
– Jeff Teague is OUT
– Tyus Jones is OUT
–Robert Covington is OUT
– Derrick Rose is Q
NOTES: A lot depends on Rose's availability here. If Rose misses again, Jerryd Bayless would continue to be a nice play on both sites at 5k given all the minutes. He'd still probably see between 25-30 minutes if Rose plays, but we obviously prefer him if Rose is out. Andrew Wiggins has averaged 24 FGAs the past three games but I would expect that shot volume to take a hit if Rose returns. Josh Okogie's minutes would also be much less secure if Rose plays.
– Jamal Murray is OUT
– Gary Harris is Q
NOTES: The Nuggets have been starting Will Barton – Gary Harris – Torrey Craig on the perimeter with Murray out but the rising minutes for Barton and Harris have reduced Craig's time. Barton is a great play no matter what, and if Harris can't go, Malik Beasley would start in his place and would be an excellent value, while Craig would have a great shot at seeing big minutes, and Monte Morris would be an interesting punt off the bench. Beasley and Morris are somewhat viable even if Harris plays, but clearly get a boost if he's out.
– Julius Randle is OUT
– Elf Payton is OUT
– Anthony Davis is OUT
– E'Twaun Moore is OUT
– Nik Mirotic is OUT
NOTES: Obviously, the first place to look here is Jrue Holiday, followed by Jahlil Okafor, while Darius Miller is the guy the Pelicans will rely on most for forward minutes. Frank Jackson and Tim Frazier both have a great shot of again seeing 20+ minutes and both are good plays. If Jackson starts again, Frazier may have a slight edge as the better play as he'll be controlling the ball for most of his minutes on the court while Jackson will be sharing with Holiday. Solomon Hill is starting and competing for time with Kenrich Williams off the bench. I think it's likely Hill plays more than the 18 minutes he saw last night but Williams also played well enough to likely earn another 20+ tonight. Ian Clark and Chieck Diallo are also in the mix. The Pelicans were shorthanded last night and played spirited ball against the Rockets, but they could easily turn into a pumpkin tonight. I'd consider correlating my plays from the Pelicans tonight.
NOTES: Kent Bazemore is expected to return from injury and will be limited to around 20 minutes. This perimeter rotation is now getting VERY crowded and it's tough to know who will take the biggest hit in minutes between Bembry, Huerter, Prince, Lin or Carter. I would expect Trae Young, who has been playing very well lately, to continue to see 30+ minutes most nights.
– Dante Exum is OUT
– Raul Neto is OUT
NOTES: 30 minutes for Ricky Rubio last game, his most since returning from injury. Donovan Mitchell still got up 22 shots last game and had six assists, but it's hard not to think that the big explosion nights that Mitchell has been having all the time recently won't happen quite as often going forward with Rubio back playing his usual minutes.
– Jusuf Nurkic is Q
NOTES: If Nurkic misses, I'd expect Meyers Leonard to the draw the start while Zach Collins would have a chance at more minutes and Al-Farouq Aminu would have minutes upside.
