Key Injury News to Watch:
Stephen Curry – Expect him to play, but if he sits, it’s a boost for all the other Warriors starters including Wiggins and Oubre Jr.
Bradley Beal – Expect him to play, but if he sits, it’s a boost to Westbrook and Rui Hachimura though you have to ask how competitive the game can stay.
Julius Randle – True GTD. If he sits, more usage for Barrett and Quickley.
Lonzo Ball – Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Eric Bledsoe are the big winners with Kira Lewis Jr. having sneaky GPP upside as well if the right game flow happens.
Key Game:
N/A – NOT APPLICABLE. “CJ, are you kidding me?!?!” Alright hear me out before you curse at me for what appears to be a cop out.
This slate has a TON of injury news so I’m not willing to give up flexibility to get high usage players at low ownership due to news just to stack a game I like. So while there are some nice games (NOP/BOS, SAC/SA, MIN/BRK) none of them rise to the level of a key game for me so will be focusing on the news trying to optimize lineups and get some players lower owned who would have been chalk if news had been out pre-lock.
Slate Edges: Be flexible, most likely I’m going value and then a bunch of 6-9k players who get usage bumps from other players being ruled out. Robert Williams in his best spot yet as a starter and willing to pay this price tag as a core play before he becomes a 8k player. Would fade Brodric Thomas chalk on this slate as I think you’ll need a higher raw scorer than him to win a GPP.
