Enes Kanter – Free square tonight. Kanter will draw the start against one of the league’s worst rebounding teams with Daniel Theis and also Robert Williams out. The Bulls are shorthanded in the front court and Kanter is going to have his way underneath the basket. A double double is a near certainty and a 20-20 game is not at all out of the question. Kanter is the top point per dollar play on the slate on both DK and FD and I can’t see there being anything that will change that tonight. Start with him and build from there.
Lonzo Ball – The Pelicans’ point guard continues to play well in the absence of Jrue Holiday, picking up additional ball handling duties as well as minutes. Jrue Holiday is likely out again tonight and I’d expect this new role to continue against the Pistons. JJ Redick has also been ruled out, and may be joined on the sidelines by Brandon Ingram and Derrick Favors. The most important piece for Lonzo’s prospects is Jrue, by far, but Lonzo gets an additional significant bump if Ingram misses and a very slight bump if Favors is out. Luckily, the matchup is good enough against the Pistons that even a depleted Pelicans team can likely keep this game close enough or even win it outright.
Tobias Harris – With no Joel Embiid, there are plenty of minutes, and especially usage, to be spread around the remaining Sixers stars: Harris, Simmons, Horford, and Richardson. I like all of them to varying degrees, but that’s how I have them ranked in order of priority tonight. Harris, in particularly, gets a big usage bump as he’s able to create his own shot with ease. The matchup for Harris and the rest of the Sixers isn’t great tonight against the Pelicans, but, nevertheless, you’re going to want at least one of these guys in your lineup.
Darius Garland – I suspect this one will fly under the radar with the Cavaliers big underdogs to the Lakers on the road, but I like what I’ve seen from the rookie recently. He’s slowly taken over as the undisputed lead ball handler for the Cavs, and the 8 and 7 assists in the last two games are no fluke. He’s also being aggressive shooting the ball and playing big minutes as well, and the Cavaliers are rightfully seeing what they have in the youngster. Tough matchup tonight against the Lakers, no doubt, but I still think Garland gets his. He’s under $5K on both sites and has a very realistic shot at 30+ fantasy point.
LeBron James (if Anthony Davis sits) – LeBron unsurprisingly posted a monster game against the Mavericks without Anthony Davis, which may be the case again tonight. LeBron is crazily priced at $9500 on DK which means you kind of need to keep a spot available for him in case Davis sits. He’s a fine play at that price even if Brow does end up playing. On FanDuel we are unlikely to have the news on time but with the incredibly soft pricing over there LeBron is worth gambling on anyway as it’s almost difficult to spend your cap given some of the quality options available for cheap.
