Bullpen (Phil Backert)
Phil Backert: We keep spotlighting the Mets bullpen and for good reason as they continue to be atrocious. Edwin Diaz blew a save against the Phillies by allowing five earned runs. The unit as a whole has allowed four home runs over the last seven days and opponents are batting .325. The Mets get the hot hitting Braves for a three game series.
Phil Backert: The Nationals bullpen was a unit we targeted heavily early in the season with great success. They turned it around for a portion, but are struggling again. The issue right now is the starters are pitching deep into games. The Nationals have the highest ERA over the last seven days at 10.38, but rank 28th in innings pitched during this span.
Phil Backert: The Orioles have allowed eight home runs over the last seven days and are set for a three game home series against an Indians lineup that has been scoring runs lately.
Hitting (Vlad Sedler)
I need a 4300 or less one off OF for DK CASH right now I have Cain
Vlad Sedler: Harper, Franmil, Peralta, Soler all better options imo
I have Franmil in there already, Peralta fits perfect I’ll use him
Vlad Sedler: WAIT, not sure how much this would matter to you since it’s Shaun Anderson on the mound, but over last 3 years Peralta hitting .180 in AT&T with 0 HR. May not be the play
machado or tatis fanduel util spot?
Vlad Sedler: Tatis today, Machado vs lefties mostly for me, .480 ISO vs LHP, .184 vs RHP this year
Jesse: Hey Vlad, that small FD live final is tonight and it’s just the “Evening” slate (the 7 games at 7pm). Any thoughts on that particular player pool? Leaning KC, and maybe Soroka, and do you agree with the Chirinos/Hernandez love from Ted in the cash game article?
Vlad Sedler: Jesse, my only concern is that Elieser is going to be the de facto punt for people on both sites and he may get his ass handed to him. I prefer Velasquez for almost same price point. No issue with Yonny.
Jesse: love it, KC and Velasquez was my first build.
And I have this gut about ATL, but I don’t know if that’s a necessary stretch in a 60-man field.
Vlad Sedler: The gut on ATL would be to just not play deGrom
Jesse: Definitely fading deGrom
Is Velazquez going to get yanked at 60 pitches again
Vlad Sedler: Should go a bit more than that if he’s doing alright.
Strictly GPP play
We’ll talk about it on show soon
