Bullpen (Phil Backert)
Phil Backert: There could be teams that shake-up their late inning options with numerous teams having meltdowns in the final innings. Specifically, we should be following what the Braves and Rangers do over the next couple of games.
Phil Backert: The Nationals bullpen allowed two more home runs on Tuesday night and have now allowed eight long balls over the last seven days. They have allowed the second highest fly ball percentage during this span as well at 41 percent. We have targeted this unit all season and it shouldn’t stop now.
Phil Backert: Due to an off-day and a rain out, the Royals bullpen has only had to cover three innings over the last three days. However, it should still be noted that over the last seven days, they have allowed a hard hit percentage of 55.8 percent and a low swinging strike percentage of 9.6 percent. Opponents are also batting .348 over this span and they have allowed five home runs. Left-handed hitters are slugging .492 on the season.
Phil Backert: The Tigers continue to check all the boxes when trying to target a unit. They have the worst xFIP over the last seven days at 5.88, they don’t miss any bats with a low swinging strike percentage of 8.6 percent and they have a hard hit percentage of 42.6 percent which has led to five home runs.
ownership on Davies?
DraftCheat: whatever it is, too high
DraftCheat: jesse chavez is starting? good lord all in on SEA
Managed to get Castillo/Montas on DK with a 5 man SEA stack
DraftCheat: nice, yeah that’s the route i like, no yelich so huge for castillo, everyone besides montas/castillo is a bum
i could see everybody loading up on Castillo and him having one of his long ball games
DraftCheat: yeah, it could happen, if you’re fading castillo grab a couple brewers sluggers for sure
DraftCheat: lol, nicky lopez really kills the matchup for oppsing ptichers vs KC tho those 4% strikeout types are the worst
DraftCheat: KC is sneaky for sure tho, wacha really sucks
DraftCheat: vanmeter gonna be like 70% owned lol
Hey DC is JRod a viable SP2 to pair with castillo?
DraftCheat: i mean, not really
On these short slates is it still optimal to stack in a gpp or can you vet away with a little more diversification?
i like diversifying today
do you think Fried is a good pitcher?
DraftCheat: Fried is good, not great
Dc Vlad mentioned Keller keeps the ball on the ground, enough to scare me off my cardinals stack?
DraftCheat: yeah, i’m not on the Cardinals too much, they’re still fine but not my fave today
tough getting hitters you want with Castillo/Montas
DraftCheat: yeah it is
I feel like the path to victory requires a montasblow up so i think I’m grabbing a couple Indians lefties
DraftCheat: can’t hate it, great hitting weather there, although it’s great hitting weather all 4 games
DraftCheat: hader in play IMO, these pitchers could all get bombed. wouldn’t use him with castillo tho
would you pair Hader with Davies then?
DraftCheat: yeah that could work, i don’t like davies but in theory yes
Cole 11700 Scherzer 11100 Degrom 10800 on FD is tough
hunter pence 5400 in 2019. did not see that happening.
DraftCheat: and he’s earned it
good feeling about fried tonight DC?
DraftCheat: yeah def like fried tonight
My current cash build has DeGrom/Fried on DK
DraftCheat: yeah guessing that’s gonna be very solid
DC don’t look now… but JBJ is HOT
DraftCheat: lol right after i drop that fucker
Wouldn’t law of averages suggest Davies is due for a good ol shelling
DraftCheat: yes i think davies gets rocked
DraftCheat: bats are so good on this slate, gonna be high scoring. i has all the pence
Are we fading SEA?
