Jesse brings together everything discussed on the Friday livestream, and Mans’ Saturday chat, in one easy-to-reference sheet!
The Core 4
Fitzpatrick, Freeman, Keenan Allen, Ertz
Fitzpatrick, Mixon, DeAndre Washington, Ertz
Fitzpatrick, DeAndre Washington, Keenan Allen, Hollister
Tommy’s Core 2-6
McCaffrey, Mixon, Peterson, Ward, BAL
If you have the money, Jackson is a great spend-up. Tons of incentive to play well.
Don’t mind Fitzpatrick, even kind of like him.
People are going to want to go to Grier. I’m not crazy about him, but it’s hard to argue with that savings.
Not crazy about Murray. Don’t think he has the rushing upside this week.
Ryan is okay, but I think I like the ATL running game more.
Think Wilson will be chalky. Not sure how much I like him.
Jackson and Fitzpatrick are the two I’m liking. Jackson is always an option, but I’m starting to like Fitzpatrick more and more.
Dalton is also an option v MIA.
Am legitimately worried about Prescott. Not sure he’s going to play.
McCaffrey WILL be getting a bunch of receptions. Very close to some records if he has a big receiving day.
Henry has to score 2+ times just to help out your team. If he only scores once, he’ll return acceptable value, but that’s it. Just too expensive for me to be interested.
In LOVE with Mixon. It sucks that he’s priced up on FD, but he’s still one of my favorites. My pick to be the RB1 on the slate.
Freeman’s situation is too good to ignore.
DO NOT play Kerryon Johnson.
Like Melvin Gordon a lot, considering his price. Why wouldn’t LAC just run him into the ground, considering they’re very unlikely to have him on the team next year.
Carson is going overlooked, for some reason. He’s over my cash game threshold on FD, but is too expensive on DK.
McCaffrey will go underowned, possibly under 10%. Too many other high-priced people in smash spots to be able to afford him.
Henry is fine, but he’s expensive. Not in love.
Peterson is a great price on DK. Has been fantastic this year and no one is talking about him. So impressive.
Doesn’t seem anyone is talking about Bell vs PIT. Huge revenge game for him (but also a revenge game for PIT).
Stop trying to make Phillip Lindsay a thing.
Not into Melvin Gordon, think he’s done in LAC.
No interest in PIT RBs.
Thomas > Julio Jones > Lockett are my top-tier guys, in order. Not as interested in AJ Brown.
I KNOW Thomas is good for 10 catches given his situation chasing some records and NO’s/Payton’s history of going for those things.
Parker isn’t in the Core, but he’s close. In a strong spot.
Love Keenan Allen.
Not that interested in any of the low-tier WR on FD. Slayton is the lowest-priced guy I’m still considering (6k on FD).
Thomas > Julio Jones > Lockett/AJ Brown are the way I have the top guys ranked. Lockett is safer, AJ Brown is more aggressive.
There are guys in the <5k range on DK who you can fill a LU with and be in fine shape by paying up at the other positions. Ward, Davis, Ross, Westbrook, etc.
Like Ward a lot. At such a low price and could/should get plenty of targets. Like on DK, especially.
Someone will have to catch passes for TEN, Tannehill isn’t going to throw for just 100 yds. Corey Davis is a good “punt”-like option.
Hard to get away from Ertz, if paying up.
Waller is okay, as is Hooper, as pivots from Ertz if you can’t quite afford him.
Hollister will be very chalky, but for perfectly good reasons. I’m not crazy about him, just not a “Hollister guy”, but I get it. He has TD upside.
Lower on Olsen because I think McCaffrey will get all of the short, check-down-type passes. Hard to ignore the 4900 price on FD, though.
Hollister is fine, just don’t see a reason to be in love with him. It’s a great MU, obviously, and he may get in the end zone, but doubt he breaks the slate.
Ertz’ numbers v DAL are very weird. He never has between 40-130 yards, it’s always less than or more than that. Plan on having him on one team and fading him on the other.
Just not a lot to like.
PIT, BAL, IND are all fine at the top, but not in love with any.
DAL seems to be mis-priced on FD.
Definitely see the appeal to using BAL, and agree the game could get very ugly for CLE.
CAR is in play.
Think it’s definitely worth paying up for BAL. They will be very low-owned and I don’t think they’ll come up with fewer than 8pts, and they have the upside to get to 20.
No problem with CAR.
Misc / SATURDAY SLATE
SATURDAY SLATE: I’m taking QB/WR from HOU/TB, RB from BUF/NE, and then get contrarian in LAR/SF. OJ Howard will be chalkier than people are thinking, making Brate the sneaky choice. Wouldn’t fully stack BUF/NE, even to get contrarian, because it’s extremely unlikely both of the other games end up low-scoring. SF and LAR are my two DEF.
SATURDAY SLATE: The chalk is to stack HOU/TB. People may completely avoid the BUF/NE game, making them a fun contrarian stack. I’m all-in SF DEF.
The real story behind Tommy being banned from Sirius: He was caught on a hot mic exchanging jokes with one of his producers, Sirius bosses were listening in, and they were offended.
Mans’ Saturday Night Chat
-No on Haskins for me
-I have Lamar > Fitzpatrick > Ryan >>> Tannehill
-My QB tiers are Lamar Jackson/Matt Ryan/Ryan Fitzpatrick/Gardner Minshew….nobody else that I care about.
-Fading Brees on the road is fine
-More nervous on Dak today…..found out it is likely a rotator cuff issue NOT an AC Joint sprain. Worries me more
-Out on. Tannehill. Especially if Henry sits.
-Brees will not put up the same kind of numbers he has been. Counting on 250 2 TD is safe…anything above that is getting risky
-Fitzpatrick > Wentz
-There are a lot of updates. The biggest thing is obviously Derrick Henry and that Titans situation. There is a good chance he doesn’t play because this week doesn’t mean anything to them. So be prepared
-Dion Lewis would be in the player pool but not a lock button guy necessarily
-I don’t think Mattison plays
-Mixon isn’t quite core 4……definitely high priority though
-I think Henry sits
-If Henry is out…Lewis < Freeman still -Mark Ingram is ALWAYS limited honestly. He touches the ball 15 times per game and that is it -Washington > Lewis
-Conner >> Bell
-I can’t do AP either. I get it but I don’t like it
-Mack is in the “good” category but not “great” cause of lack of pass catching
-For the price I prefer Freeman > Mack
-Ohhhhh DeAndre Washington! Yeah he is fine.
-If Henry sits…Lewis will get about 14-16 touches…..70+ total yards….much lower TD projection. though
-Mixon > Mack
-Mixon in cash for sure
-Yeah they will pump the ball to Thomas for sure
-I see NO PROBLEM with. Thomas’s coverage by Tennessee. He will do well
-I don’t want ANY Eagles. WRs
-Sutton = low total, Slay shadow, real questionable QB…..I ALWAYS like Sutton but feels expensive for 5-75 max
-Steven Sims…..just can’t do it. Too random
-There just isn’t many REAL cheap value WRs
-Miller > Fitzgerald
-Metcalf > Landry
-Mike Williams is pretty strong play too yes. I prefer Keenan Allen….but Williams does make me nervous
-Gage for 4400 is OK
-Conley isn’t safe for cash no. But is a quality GPP type of play
-John Ross…no interest in DFS but if I could get a super high TD prop on him at like +750 I would consider
-Cheapest WR on. DK….Gage at 4400 I guess….Tate at 4800 more likely
-Like Keenan Allen on both sites but not quite a core guy there
-Sutton > Williams
-Allen > Parker on. DK just for price
-Thomas > Julio
-Fitz and Parker are a fine combo sure
[email protected] Lockett over Sanders.
-Slayton > Hollywood
-Slayton > Tate in DFS….vice versa in seasonal
-Andrews is viable in cash yes.
-Jonnu Smith > Jared Cook
-Hollister solid but not a lock. Been REAL random with his slot %……very up and down all year
-Ertz did poorly in Dallas last year and blew up in Philly
-Ertz is just the entire offense. That. is why over Hooper and anybody else.
-Ertz has been exceeding value at the price lately…hasn’t gone COMPLETELY ape shit though but does have as high of upside as any other TE
-Kaden Smith is sneaky and pretty good play.
-Goeders in. GPPs….yeah totally. good.
-Greg Olsen. = Grier & CMC needing record receiving means little targets for Olsen
-I am still unsure if Fant plays
-You can use a punt DST against one of your players. Punt DST are designed to get us 2-4 points……
-Broncos > Colts DST
-Steelers DST is the best….Ravens next….if going value than Panthers
-Boone > Washington > Ward
-I wouldn’t pair Mixon and Boyd myself
-If you can build a Lamar/CMC/Thomas/Ertz lineup….just do it
-Proven Eagles Haters = People that speak the truth about the Eagles
-Ward and Ertz is NOT OK
-XFL Package is going to be exclusively on Fantasy Guru. There is no clue whether DFS will be offered for it yet or not so just doing it all over on FG
-Play Mixon. in EVERYTHING….wouldn’t pair with Boyd though
[email protected] I am going to try to play CMC and Thomas……its really difficult though and if I drop down it will be from CMC. So….its a little stars and scrubs
-I like Darius Slayton. Almost made the write up but only thing is Tate/Shepard/Barkley could take non Red Zone looks away from him
-Sutton > Montgomery
-I prefer paying for Thomas > CMC just because the 1300 price difference and its much harder to get that baseline with a. WR than a RB
-Mike Williams > Hunt
