Welcome to “Healy’s Hints,” where Brian tells us his favorite NFL DFS plays for your lineups on DraftKings, FanDuel and SuperDraft.
Hey, guys! I’m excited to bring my NFL DFS content back to the team at Elite Fantasy, where we will look to build upon all of our 2019 success. If you’re not familiar with how I break down my articles, here’s a crash course. This piece will be broken down into three sections:
1. A cheat sheet, broken down by position and salary (using FD positions & prices).
2. My favorite stack(s) to target, and which players I prefer in those stacks.
3. My “Today’s Edge” section, which covers my top TD picks, the players I will have the most exposure to across all of my lineups, and my “Edge” play, which is my favorite play (or fade!) on the slate.
Note: My top-owned plays and “The Edge” play will be updated no later than 1hr prior to lock!
This article will cover the Week 1 Main Slate, which begins Sunday at 1:00pm.
NFL DFS Cheat Sheet
Players to consider for your Week 1 NFL GPPs. This isn’t a list of every player I will have, but rather the top guys I’m including in my stacks/core. Players may be here because of their matchups, their ownership, or even because they’re a good leverage play off the chalk. They will all be included in this core list.
- Replacing Miles Sanders with Raheem Mostert
- Replacing Jon Taylor with Boston Scott
NFL DFS Stacks
A common roster construction I like to use in large-field tournaments is stacking a quarterback with one or two of his skill players (RB, WR, TE) and playing one or two guys from the opposition. I plan to attack this week no differently.
My top overall stack is the Philly @ Washington. Everyone has had weeks to look at Week 1 salaries, build lineups, and change with the constant news. While I like the Eagles to win this game outright, both teams feature a pass funnel defense we can attack for DFS. I’m fine using the Eagles side of this game (Sanders, Ertz, DJax, Reagor/Ward). I’m going to go heavier on the Washington side of the ball, pairing Haskins with McLaurin (primary) and Antonio Gibson/Steven Sims (Secondary).
Philly @ Washington
(Dwayne Haskins/Terry McLaurin/Antonio Gibson/Steven Sims)
Other Stacks to Consider
Seattle @ Atlanta
(Russ Wilson/DK Metcalf/Tyler Lockett)
Tampa Bay @ New Orleans
(Drew Brees/Michael Thomas/Alvin Kamara/Emmanuel Sanders)
Low Owned Stack
Chicago @ Detroit
(Mitchell Trubisky/Allen Robinson/Anthony Miller)
- Antonio Gibson
- Jack Doyle
My Top-Owned Plays (based on exposure across all my lineups)
QB – Dwayne Haskins
Skill Player – Davante Adams
