Sunday Funday! Your boy Duke has your back for Sunday’s DFS slate in the Bundesliga.
Sunday is my birthday. Will I be hungover for lock? Maybeeeee. The big UFC card isn’t helping things lol. Plan accordingly. In all seriousness, with the little one, it’s not worth the hangover to drink that much so we’ll be fine.
I will provide a little breakdown for the early game, but again, I will not be up for team news nor playing the actual slate.
HOWEVER, let’s finish the weekend strong and crush it on Sunday.
To the desert…
- Werder Bremen +275 | 2.5 (-110o/-110u)
- Wolfsburg EVEN
- DRAW +250
- Union Berlin +145 | 2,2.5 (-110o/-110u)
- Schalke +200
- DRAW +215
- Augsburg +180 | 2.5,3 (-115o/-105u)
- Koln +140
- DRAW +250
BUNDESLIGA DFS GAME THOUGHTS
I thought the total would be a bit lower, to be honest. Both teams have been in great defensive form, but you’d have to like Wolfsburg’s chances here to get a win on the road. EVEN money isn’t exactly great value, considering they also struggle to score.
Players to Target
What’s the opposite of Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen? Union Berlin v Schalke. Big game for both. Schalke are all kinds of terrible right now but still sit 10th in the table. UB are in 14th and struggling for results since the return.
The reverse fixture was a 2-1 win for Schalke back in the happier days of their season. Against teams 14th or lower in the table, Schalke games have featured games with total goals of three, three, zero, six, three, one, three, two, six. Does this guarantee goals? Not exactly, but as we saw Saturday morning with Düsseldorf/Hoffenheim, all it takes is one early goal and it can pop off!
Umm again…yuck. Koln games always feature goals so perhaps there will be more than we are expecting from this game. Koln’s last 12 game totals:
Give me the over and give me exposure to this game from all angles (except GK).
BUNDESLIGA DFS PLAYS BY POSITION
Uth – KOE – $12k
Carries the Q tag and a huge price tag, but how do you leave him on this short slate? GPP and cash assuming he starts.
Niederlechner – FCA – $7.7k
I haven’t rostered him since the return and for good reason. He doesn’t get a ton of chances and needs to be ruthless with anything that pops up. The good news is the Koln back line is very leaky. Pricey for his current output, but I have him bagging a goal if Augsburg are to do anything here.
Cordoba – KOE – $9.3k
Do we finally get a Modeste start? If not, Cordoba has goals in two of his last three and is likely to bag one here again. WHOEVER starts up front will likely make my main.
Andersson – FCU – $8.5k
I love his form, but for the price, are we really taking this chance? Part of a game stack if you are being contrarian but tough to justify when you can get fractionally less production at nearly $2k savings with Butler.
Max – FCA – $9.6k
The manager says he’ll be ready so we’ll trust him. We know he has a set piece majority, if not monopoly, when he’s healthy. High total. Home side. Good place to go.
Jakobs – KOE – $6.2k
On a normal, four-game slate, he wouldn’t make the write-up, but we are limited here. Kainz is the likely higher scorer, but for the price, I’ll take Jakobs.
Rexhbecaj – KOE – $5.8k
He’s creating. That’s the good news. No one, including him, is finishing these chances. This is a good opportunity for stars to align. More GPP than cash.
Kutucu – S04 – $7.4k
You might be saying, who? Fair. He’s been productive off the bench, and with all of the Schalke players set to miss this game, he should get a run out from the start. Pt/Minute stats are off the charts here since the return. If we can extrapolate those over 70 minutes, he’ll pay off this price.
Gentner – FCU – $5.3k
Scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but we need to fill two slots somehow. Had a great game against Gladbach, but that’s on the top end of his normal game. It was 8.7 points. If we can squeak a couple of shots and crosses out of him, we’ll be happy.
Caligiuri – S04 – $8.8k
How many minutes can these legs take? He’s played a lot of soccer lately, and I can’t see him finishing the 90. I’d love if he came off the bench because I can see myself somehow getting here in cash and I DO NOT WANT TO.
Trimmel – FCU – $7.9k
Probably near the peak of his playable price, but considering the short slate, he’s in cash consideration. I prefer him to Max.
Oczipka – S04 – $7k
Need Caligiuri to miss to get the upside to justify the price, but regardless, he’s in consideration for cash just considering the options.
Kenny – S04 – $4.4k
I’ll likely be in this range with my second D, and Kenny is probably the best of the bunch. Crossing numbers have been spotty, but I expect Schalke to be in this game, start to finish.
Literally whatever fits your Bundesliga DFS build. They are all around the same price range.
