Welcome to this season’s first Sunday Funday | DFS EPL Preview…
Three slates with three cashes. Hard to do much better than that boys!!
Unlucky with Bournemouth losing the win late. Everton had chances early but faded throughout the game before Schneiderlin’s red card. How about Erik Pieters with two assists as part of our Core-4 at $2800?!?!?!

SUNDAY FUNDAY | DFS EPL SLATE THOUGHTS
Who actually features for these teams? That is the big question. We’ve seen big signings start on the bench early this weekend. Let’s keep that in mind with our builds.
LEI/WOL – LEI made some good summer signings, and I do think we’ll see Perez get the start. We know how Wolves play on the road. Tight tight tight. LEI has opened up a touch with their play under Brendan Rodgers, and playing at home, I expect them to have a go.
NEW/ARS – This seems like the biggest mismatch on paper. I don’t know we see David Luiz from the start so ARS is looking at a Mustafi/Sokrates CB pairing. That’s worrying, even against Newcastle. This seems like a game that will have goals and rightly so; it’s the highest total. I’m interested to see how Newcastle actually play. Do they sit and counter with their exciting trio up front? Likely.
MU/CHE – FINALLY, we get a game with two quality teams, yet both have question marks. Who starts up top for Chelsea? Abraham? He hasn’t proven himself in the Prem. Giroud? Does he have the legs for 90 minutes? Does Mason Mount get the start? United at home, with the new press system Ole was using in preseason, is a spot I’d like to attack. Rashford/Martial/James are a young, pacey front three.
SUNDAY FUNDAY | DFS EPL
Aubameyang – ARS – $10k
Tough to put anyone else first on the list. Biggest favorite. Arsenal has the highest implied goal total. Coming off a golden boot season. Auba should get off the mark here.
Martial – MU – $8.2k
I’m super high on Martial this season. Especially if he starts at F, I’m all over him, but even playing off the left, I like this spot for Tony. Floor is low, but ceiling is as high as any player on the slate. More GPP than Cash.
Joelinton – NEW – $6.3k
Man biggest dog on the board; why are we looking towards their CF? Umm, it’s Arsenal guys. Joelinton has been in good form this preseason, and that’s been translating to results in the first set of games. Arsenal has a backline in flux. Newcastle is at home and will have chances. Reasonable price.
Rashford – MU – $8.6k
Likely plays through the middle and bags a goal on Day 1 for United. He’ll have chances. Takes direct free kicks. Will he be on Pens, or will Pogba retain the responsibility?
Abraham – CHE – $6.8k
I like him to start up front, and he’ll give the new CB pairing for United something to think about. His goal-scoring odds are higher than I thought they’d be. I don’t love him, but as part of a CHE stack on a “small” slate, it makes sense.
Pulisic – CHE – $7.5k
Hazard lite. Baby Jesus makes his prem debut, but assuming he comes off the left, he’ll have his hands full with Wan-Bissaka. Let’s see how Chelsea lines up, but unfortunately, this looks like a FADE for me.
CASH options: Auba, Willian, Almiron, Rashford
Maddison – LEI – $9.2k
Hard to fade this spot. Most consistent player on the slate. A bit of a plug and play.
Moutinho – WOL – $6.7k
Cash option. On sets. On a slate that might lack goals, he’s even solid for GPPs. We need points where we can get them.
S Longstaff – NEW – $3.8k
I think DK has mixed up the Longstaffs. Sean is the player who will start and was drawing transfer interest from the likes of Manchester United. At this price, he’s very solid. Cash option as well as GPP. Does have a goal in him.
James – MU – $5.9k
This boy is lightning quick. Think a faster Harvey Barnes… He’s a bit wasteful in the final third, but regardless of whether Chelsea goes with Alonso or Emerson, he’ll have at least two steps on the CHE fullback. Great price to take a chance.
Barkley – CHE – $6.1k
Been doing the business in preseason and will feature in Frank’s new system. His floor is low, but he can bag a goal from midfield.
Ceballos – ARS – $6.3k
Good chance he starts and shows everyone what all the hype is about. His value will come from open play but will hook up with Auba/Laca nicely in the final third.
Xhaka – ARS – $7.1k
Set piece taker on the biggest favorite.
Tielemans – LEI – $7.7k
This man did the business last year, but I don’t love this matchup or price. Fine for GPPs, but can’t get there in cash.
Doherty – WOL – $5.2k
Pricey for a road dog, but you know their system produces crosses. He’s got the odd goal in him too.
Chilwell – LEI – $5.5k
There is an argument Pereira is the better play, but I like LEI to attack down their left side to pin the likes of Doherty back. Do not play both.
Azpilicueta – CHE – $4.7k
Never an exciting play but super solid. The captain puts in a seven or eight out of 10 every single week.
Williams – NEW – $3.8k
Your cheap fullback alert. Dutch lefty who should get the nod.
Boly – WOL – $3.7k
Great to pair with Moutinho on GPP lineups. Huge player who’s good in the air. I’ll be taking chances on him. Is involved quite a bit in the build-up as well so the AP addition helps.
Emerson – CHE – $4.8k
I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from him in preseason. Not much of a defender but does get forward well. A cheaper Alonso.
Maguire – MU – $4.2k
Does slabhead bag a goal on his debut? NAHHH MAN, it would be written in the stars!! I’d prefer Boly, but assuming you have a United stack, he’s an option.
