“When playing a DraftKings League of Legends tournament, it is important to team stack and focus on narrowing down the teams that will provide the best chance of winning. Total score is determined by kills, assists and overall player performance in each LoL game that happens on the rift, but the goal is always to aim and stack winning teams for the easiest chance at taking down cash games and GPP tournaments. We take a closer look at what teams might be able to provide us an edge.” Brian Healy
Stacks/Teams – Main Slate
Mousesports: Should be very chalky. With a -270 money line, Mousesport has the best odds to win on the entire slate. Not only do they have a -270 ML but you still have to lay down $150.00 to win $100.00 for the under two rounds bet. Mousesports has a much better track record and their big guns are producing much more than the top scorers from Complexity. Mouz “ropz” and “Frozen” are averaging 62.8 and 58.9 PPG on DraftKings while Complexity’s top players are averaging 58.9 and 54.5 PPG. Complexity got a major boost in PPG after their last series win where they scored very well against DIG. Before this match, Complexity had a handful of poor efforts. I’m not going to let one solid win against a DIG team, that is nowhere near as talented as Mousesports change my call. So, considering Complexity’s stats are inflated due to a dominating most recent series against DIG, I’m going to say the veteran talent wins out here and I’m going to ignore somewhat high numbers out of Complexity in their last match on May 9th. Give me Mouz in this one. I’d even consider a four man stack with, “ropz”, “Frozen”, “Woxic” and “Karrigan”. I know the DraftKings averages seem to favor Complexity, I just think it’s a trap. Roster Mouz, you won’t regret it.
MAD Lions: Here’s my upset pick, if you want to call it that. MAD is at +115 and the under 2 ½ round bet is at -140 suggesting that whoever takes this should take it rapidly. MAD’s premier scorers are averaging 62.7 PPG (Bubzkji) and 61.9 (sjuush). These numbers are significantly better than BIG’s primary scorers, 36.6 (syrsoN) and 36.4 (XANTARES). BIG has not played well as of late, and even when they win, they haven’t scored well. I think the +115 line for the Lions is very reachable but onto the 3rd and final game where you will want exposure to MAD.
MIBR: MIBR should be the other chalky team on the slate as they are favored by – 270 (same as Mouz) If you’re going to play MIBR and Mouz (the two heavy favorites) you must get creative, whether that be going to a 4-2 stack or taking a shot on a one-off, investing in heavy shares of MIBR and Mouz will be beneficial if you can make it work in a unique, GPP style lineup. If you are investing in an MIBR stack players to consider include: FalleN, fer and kNgV. These three players are averaging, 65.1, 58.3 and 56.2 respectivley.
