Today’s breakdown is for the four (4) game CS:GO slate that is centered on the two (2) LOOT.BET Season 7 Best of 3 matches and two (2) BLAST Premier Best of 3 matches. Keep in mind, roster lock is going to be 7:15 AM ET/4:15AM PT.
Please be sure to look back at my past articles to go through more about my research process.
If you’re looking to follow each contest live, you can track the live scoring by going to hltv.org, but you can also watch the LOOT.BET contests by going to https://www.twitch.tv/uccleague2 and the BLAST Premier contests by going to https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier.
Today’s slates are all screwed up because DraftKings thought it was a good idea to include the LOOT.BET contests, which is really difficult because it’s a lower tier league with teams that almost no one has heard of. I’d be lying if I have much of an edge researching these teams (outside of Nemiga); however, I did make sure to review recent play and stats related to likely map selections.
I’ll be upfront with you all. I don’t think I’m playing this 4 game slate and will likely opt for the 3-game slate instead due to my lack of knowledge of PACT/SKADE and a few outside factors that I’ll mention below.
PACT (-150) vs. SKADE
Likely Bans: Mirage and Vertigo
Map Guesses: Inferno and Nuke
Like I mentioned before, I don’t really know anything about these teams outside of what I’ve researched. But I think the biggest ouside factor is that SKADE is going to be playing with two players in Duplicate and Oxygen who just joined their active roster four days ago. Duplicate was formerly of FATE, and is an above average player, but had been going on a brutal run over the last few weeks. Oxygen is 17 years old and doesn’t appear to be as highly rated, but is a complete wild card because, well, he’s 17 years old.
PACT is led by sobol who should thrive if the map choices are indeed Inferno and Nuke. Again, I don’t know much about both of these teams, but I’d be very surprised if PACT doesn’t walk away with a win.
Captain Options: sobol, darko, Rainwaker
Cash Game Options (ranked): sobol, darko, lunAtic
Nemiga Gaming (-345) vs. Apeks
Likely Bans: Train and Inferno
Map Guesses: Mirage and Dust2
I’ve watched some Nemiga matches from when they were playing in the ESL: Road to Rio, and they are a pretty solid lineup from top to bottom. In the Road to Rio, they regularly faced tougher competition, and always seemed to hold their own.
Again, I don’t know much about Apeks at all, but at the very least, they have a roster that has played together for a little while, so the chemistry should be there. It’d be shocking if Nemiga doesn’t win here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Apeks wins one map.
Nemiga is led by lollipop21k, who has the ability to put up 20-30 kills on a regular basis. I like him a lot today. The issue here is the #2 spot is usually up for grabs between speed4k and Jyo, but I have speed4k as the better performer in my map guesses. It’s also ridiculous how cheap they are as -345 favorites. Lollipop2k should be rostered in all cash games.
Captain Options: lollipop21k, speed4k, Jyo (super small exposure), Marcelious, truth
Cash Game Options (ranked): lollipop21k, speed4k, mds, Jyo
G2 (-120) vs. Team Vitality
Likely Bans: Overpass and Train
Map Guesses: Inferno and Mirage
G2 pulled a major G2 in yesterday’s DreamHack finals by blowing a 2-0 lead to a lesser known team in BIG. The last game went all the way down to overtime, where BIG prevailed thanks to a masterful performance by syrsoN.
I find it hard to believe that G2 will be focused less than 24 hours after that debacle, but anything can happen. I give Team Vitality a major edge, and recommend placing a bet on them if you want some betting action. ZywOo should be ready for this one considering Vitality lost a heartbreaker the last time these two teams met, with ALL THREE GAMES going 16-14.
Captain Options: nexa, hunTer-, ZywOo, shox (small exposure)
Cash Game Options (ranked): ZywOo, hunTer-, shox, nexa
FaZe Clan (-130) vs. ENCE
Likely Bans: Train and Vertigo
Map Guesses: Dust2 and Nuke
FaZe Clan looked really good throughout the last week in the DreamHack Masters, but got dismanted by BIG in the semifinals. I don’t really hold that against them, but like G2, it does make me wonder if they’ll be 100% focused for this match against ENCE.
Again, Bymas is getting a good amount of love due to his cheap price tag, but I don’t think the likely map choices will suit him today and will only have a little bit of exposure to him in GPP. Still, the guy to roster is broky, who remains so cheap that I think he may be a better option to roster than NiKo. I say higher GPP exposure to NiKo but broky is the best cash play by a mile.
For ENCE, I think they win today’s match if allu can get 22+ kills in each map, and make things happen with the AWP. If Dust 2 and Nuke are indeed the choices, I really like ENCE’s chances.
Captain Options: NiKo, broky, coldzera (small exposure), allu, suNny (super small exposure)
Cash Game Options (ranked): broky, allu, NiKo, coldzera, suNny, Jamppi
