The Dallas Cowboys are expected to make a push to sign QB Dak Prescott to a contract extension prior to the deadline for applying the franchise tag March 9, according to multiple sources. If the two sides are unable to agree to terms on an extension, the team would tag Prescott for a second time at a cost of approximately $37.7 million, in order to prevent him from becoming a free agent.
