Your boy Duke has your back for Wednesday’s Showdown DFS slate in the Bundesliga!!
We’ve been on an incredible run lately. I can only remember one slate off the top of my head where we didn’t smash, and even then, I was still getting screenshots from you guys when I LOST money! I love seeing that. How about another winning day?

BUNDESLIGA DFS GAME THOUGHTS
Extremely important game for both teams. Werder can’t afford to drop any points, and Frankfurt need to grab points against the bottom teams to stay safe from the drop zone.
On the surface, Frankfurt are betting in every way, but Werder have been insane defensively since the return from Covid. They’ve kept three clean sheets in a row and taken seven points, their best three-run game stretch of the season! Have they figured something out?
They were outshot by Schalke 12 to 6 in a 1-0 win.
They held Gladbach to 9 shots in a 0-0 draw.
They were outshot by Freiburg 17 to 10 in a 1-0 win.
Believe it or not, the Gladbach draw was their most impressive performance for me. Gladbach has a dangerous attack, and while I never quite understood Gladbach’s tactics in-game, Bremen did well to contain their opponent. Going forward to try and score has been a different challenge. The form of Bittencourt has put them over the edge in both wins. He’s on fire at the moment, but it’s asking a lot of a playmaker to turn scorer in three of four. Who else can score?
For Frankfurt, they picked up an impressive win over Wolfsburg. The Kamada Dragon bagged the winner and has scored in two straight. The form of their GK – Trapp – has been sub-par. I had previously considered him a strength, not a weakness. They completely outplayed Freiburg in the 3-3 draw (34 shots!!!!!!) and did have their moments against Bayern but were dominated in that game.
I see this being a low scoring affair. In cash, we want known quantities, regardless of price. In GPP, we need to take chances on players to differentiate. This weekend, we’ll be back to normal with a classic slate.
BUNDESLIGA DFS SD THOUGHTS
I’m actually shocked that red hot Andre Silva has the game goal scoring odds as….Josh Sargent??
I do think this will be a low scoring game so nabbing the one or two goals or goal scorers will be key.
Kostic – SGE – $11.6k
Good luck with the rest of the build, but in a 0-0 game, he can still have 20 points. That’s key for cash. GPP is an option as well but likely not optimal.
Silva – SGE – $9.2k
I’ll ride the hot hand at a relatively reasonable price. Whether solo or with Dost, he should be in your lineup.
Kamada – SGE – $8.4k
Be prepared for 65 minutes of going, “oh shit.” His points come in bursts and usually late. He’s gone 78, 89 and 90 in his last three starts. He’s value just once this season without a goal, and that was back in October when he had two assists. GPP only for me.
Toure – SGE – $7.4k
Very solid player who is exactly what we are looking for in cash. I don’t know his ceiling is enough for the CPT spot, but he’s in play.
Hinteregger – SGE – $6k
Set piece goal upside we crave in short slates.
Gacinovic – SGE – $4.4k
Remember how Dani Olmo sucks but scored yesterday? That’s this guy.
Rashica – SVW – $10.2k
The price is way too high, but he is involved in what they do going forward. I’ll likely be looking elsewhere within Bremen or towards Frankfurt players at this price range.
Bittencourt – SVW – $9.6k
Does he play? We know he’s not 100%. He’s been our stud money maker thus far, but I’m leaning fade here.
Friedl – SVW – $5.8k
Set piece taker for the slight dog here at a very nice price. No Bittencourt bumps him up into the near must-play range at this price.
Vogt – SVW – $3.4k
Just a big brute of a player but should be around the ball quite a bit with Frankfurt attacking so much. That helps his scoring with tackles, interceptions, etc.
Sargent – SVW – $4.8k
I mentioned the scoring odds here, and his quickness can cause some issues for the lumbering Hinteregger. The price is perfect to take stabs in both cash and GPP, depending on team news. Mostly GPP.
Selke – SVW – $3.6k
Cheaper even than Sargent and actually gets shots off. Punt cheap play with upside.
