- Patrick Corbin – Corbin is easily my top play of the day, despite the Marlins being hot over their last few games. They are still the Marlins and one of the worst teams in the league against LHP. Corbin should cruise through this lineup with ease, giving him a nice floor and the super high ceiling we are looking for in GPPs.
- Carlos Carrasco – Carrasco would be right up there with Corbin if not for the combination of Rays being a team I usually don’t target and the fact Carrasco has been so inconsistent so far this season. I wouldn’t use Carrasco without having a Tampa hedge somewhere as well. But with that being said, he does have the highest K% out of any pitcher on the slate and should come in lower owned.
- Kyle Gibson – I’ll be the first to admit, I haven’t used Gibson one time so far this season. That’s going to change today. The White Sox can be really bad at times, and at this price, I think we get Gibson around 5% this afternoon. He’s shown us he has GPP winning upside, and I think it’s pretty safe to lock him in for the win here.
- Jhoulys Chacin – If you are looking to punt the position, then Chacin is your guy. I know he’s up against a tough Phillies lineup, but you are talking to someone who’s thrown away 10’s of thousands of dollars stacking against him over the last couple of seasons and him proving me wrong. I don’t know how he does it, but he gets the job done. I will, of course, have a Phillies hedge if I do go this route simply because I think both Chacin and Phillies will be very low owned, giving either team huge edge over the field.
