- Luis Castillo – Castillo has dominated for the most part this season and the Cardinals offense has struggled. Castillo is my number one today due to the K upside though I do think Kershaw is just a tad bit safer. I have been targeting pitchers against the Cardinals all season and they have shown no sign of improving.
- Clayton Kershaw – Kershaw against Miami, what else do I really need to say? This is a fantastic matchup and I can’t make any arguments against using him. I think Castillo has a little more upside, but Kershaw is much safer. It’s hard to go wrong with either of these two tonight.
- Griffin Canning – This is the play that really scares me. Canning has shown us he can be a stud, but he’s so damn inconsistent it makes it hard to trust him. Tonight he’s up against a bad Seattle offense that blew their load last night, which gives me even less concern tonight as long as Canning is on his game. He’s priced up a little more than I would like, but if you aren’t spending up at pitcher, he should come in super low-owned and has upside for 20+ DK points.
- Jose Urquidy – Just ignore his game log or there’s no way you are going to want to roster Urquidy tonight. What you should know though is this guy had an insane K rate in the minors and now is up against a Rangers team who LOVES, I mean LOVES, to strike out. They do, however, also love to hit homers, which makes this the perfect hedge team. I will be using Urquidy on a lineup and hedging with a Rangers stack in case he blows up.
