Duke’s EPL DFS Preview for tomorrow’s Showdown slate…
There once was a ship that put to sea
And the name of that ship was the Billy o’ Tea
The winds blew hard, her bow dipped down
Blow, me bully boys, blow (huh)
Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguing’ is done
We’ll take our leave and go
And no, I don’t really know why I started the article with Wellerman but it felt right. These two teams, one blowing through the Premier League winds with highs and lows, the other fighting the stormy seas of relegation, can surely relate to the tune.
I’m slightly surprised to see Fulham as the favorites. I get it but I don’t. Leeds away is always fireworks but that’s not really how Fulham play. This is a lower total for a Leeds away match than we typically get and the points are more important to Fulham but I’m expecting a very strong response from Leeds.
To the desert…
EPL DFS GAME THOUGHTS
Let’s talk Leeds away. 0 draws. 6 wins. 8 losses. 100% fireworks. They are scoring 1.71 goals per game. They are conceding 2.07 goals per game. 71% of their matches have gone over 2.5 goals. 50% of their games have been over 3.5 goals. HALF OF THEIR GAMES HAVE 4 OR MORE GOALS.
They’ve been dominant agains the bottom of the table. They beat Newcastle, West Brom and Sheffield away. They sit 17th, 19th and 20th currently. Fulham are sandwiched in there at 18. Leeds won the first match 4-3 in a surprisingly high scoring Fulham match.
Fulham have 2 games that had 4 or more goals all season. 1 was against Leeds, the other was a 2-2 draw vs West Brom away. They’ve suffered some really poor losses and most importantly, have been shut out 9 times from 15 home games. The 3-0 loss to City the last time out was expected. Who cares? They were supposed to lose. I look to other games against the likes of Brighton, Southampton and Crystal Palace. They tied 2 of those 0-0 and lost to Palace 1-2.
I think we see a very similar game script here. I certainly don’t see a 4-3 match but I could be wrong.
EPL DFS PLAYS
- Raphina – LEE – $12.8k
- Floor + ceiling on a low scoring game potentially. If it shoots out he likely has a large role.
- Lookman – FUL – $10.2k
- Floor. Cash and GPP.
- Roberts – LEE – $5.4k
- Salary saving option with upside. Rodrigo is a doubt meaning one less player to take his spot.
- Cavaleiro – FUL – $7.6k
- Fulham could have quite a bit of the ball and he’s always involved.
- Harrison – LEE – $8.6k
- Harrison’s form has been piss poor but Leeds away is a good place to see a wild upside game, even against the stingy Fulham.
- Bamford – LEE – $9k
- He touches the ball like 8 times a game. Hard to list him any higher than this but in a showdown slate that I projet to be low scoring he has to be mentioned.
- Raphina – Leeds
- Lookman – Fulham
- Cavaleiro – Fulham
- Bamford – Leeds
- Dallas – Leeds
- Harrison – Leeds
- Meslier – Leeds
- Ayling – Leeds
- Tete – Fulham
- Areola – Fulham
- Klich – Leeds
- Phillips – Leeds
