NASCAR 2021
2021 Mafia
NASCAR! One of the most exciting sweats in the industry. You can go from 700th to 1st in one lap. Additionally, don’t forget about the NASCAR betting. Winners and Prop bets. Come get that $$$$$. 2021 is going to be the best year yet!!
I want to give you all a little more insight on how the scoring works and what to look for when building a team on DK and FD.
DK Scoring:
Drivers will accumulate points as follows:
- Place Differential = +/- 1 PTs (Where they start vs. where they finish….start 20th ,finish 10th = 10pts)
- Fastest Laps = +0.45 PTs
- Laps Led = +0.25 PTs
- Finishing Position Scoring (winner 45pts, 2nd 42pts, 3rd 41, 4th 40, 39,38,37 etc…)
FD Scoring:
Drivers will accumulate points as follows:
- .1pts for each lap completed.
- Place Differential = +/- .5 PTs(Where they start vs. where they finish….start 20th ,finish 10th = 10pts)
- Fastest Laps = +0.5 PTs
- Laps Led = +0.1 PTs
- Finishing Position Scoring (winner 43pts, 2nd 40pts, 3rd 38, 4th 37, 36,35,34 etc…)
Now that we know how the points are being accumulated, let’s take a look at my process for building a lineup. I am primarily a multi entry GPP player due to the volatility with NASCAR, but I will note the chalk and have some cash game suggestions.
With the articles, I am trying to give you guys/gals a simple way to create lineups that make sense. The ability to create potential winning lineups without hours of research (I do that for you) and or knowledge of NASCAR and the drivers. I like to make a stand and narrow things down for you with the article, for more options, you can look at the cheat sheet.
- First thing I do is pull some track data for the drivers. Typically certain drivers tend to run better at different tracks, so this is a very important piece of information.
- I am looking for the guys most likely to win the race and or lead the most laps. Most races are 100/200/300 laps, so many points can be accumulated by leading laps. Typically you can fit two of these high-end guys in your lineup.
- With the next 4 positions I am looking for drivers who can have solid runs. I look at solid average finishes, top 5 or Top 10 finishes and some place differential guys, drivers who didn’t qualify well, who might have a fast car or a history of decent finishes at the specific track. Make sure to not to lock your drivers in until you see where they are starting. For example, if a guy has an average finish of 21.4 and is starting 3rd, you may not want to have him in your lineup. On the flip side, if a guy has an average finish of 19.4 and is starting 36th, that driver may be one to target.
In my articles I will narrow down the field to 12 or so drivers to target in 3 tiers:
- Top Tier (Guys to win and lead laps)
- Mid-Tier (Guys to have a solid finish)
- Sleepers (Place differential drivers)
I want to simplify this for the Mafia, piecing together a team of 6 is much easier and clearer choosing from 12 or so drivers and not 40. I send out an initial article before qualifying and then an updated article after qualifying, so make sure to check back before the race begins as starting position is almost as important as finishing position!
As always, if you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to hit me up on twitter @trmp31.
Ok Mafia, let’s get ready to make some $$$$ in 2021
